The food is fantastic, but several times I have gone to order only to find that they were out of the entree I wanted. This is a little hokey in my opinion. The staff could be more courteous. Once again, the food (when they have it) is well worth the visit!

Trip number one: Good nachos and okay service. My waitress brought a drink and when she got back, I ordered another for the person I was with. She said to someone at a table beside me with an annoyed tone of voice "I think everyone should have to work in the food industry at least once to see what it's like". It made me uncomfortable and made me wonder if it was aimed at me because I didn't ask for both drinks at once and she had to take 2 trips to my table. Trip number two: Decent food but service was very slow. Trip number three: Sat down and 15 minutes went by without someone even taking my drink order. They seemed to have this attitude that they only care about the regulars.

Bad experience at lunch . Eat lunch here often .have been faithful for years . Regular group. Sat down got drinks and an app quickly . Waitress didn't check on us again for over 20 minutes . Walked by several times , not even a glance . I started waving and eventually yelling. Sorry , what else could I do...she said just a minute and waited on 5 more tables. When she brought menues to the nice ladies that just sat down next to us and walked away . Well I got up and left. I don't know what I did to piss her off but I'm sure it was my fault . Couldn't have been bad service .

We come here for lunch regularly. The atmosphere is nice and the prices reasonable, better than the other barbecue place in town. It is nice to be able to have a beer for lunch on days we are not working. The waitstaff can be a little less than friendly at times and can wear to much perfume as well. The food is good, and the fish tacos are my favorite. If they could get more beers on tap this may be a place we would go in the evening to have a drink.

Bordering 4 stars. I've eaten here twice and the burgers are pretty good. I usually don't eat at these types of places bc of inconsistency but both time the burgers pretty good and I'm hard to please when it comes to food.

I had a hard time deciding between 2 and 3 stars, because really, it's not a horrible place. It's the only place in town where you can sit at the bar and get just a regular beer, seeing as the county just went wet in November. My family likes the BBQ, and one of us especially likes the nachos. However, I'm not much for BBQ, and most times I really just want a good juicy, hand made, thoughtfully seasoned burger that didn't come out of the box. Unfortunately, Hawg City Grill's burgers do, and they are a disappointment. The patties are those formed and frozen ones that have the curvy edges that make them look like flower petals sticking out of the bun. They taste that way, too. No oomph. I keep forgetting about this and ordering another burger when we go in. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that first time. The second time, no joy. The third time I forgot, and it still wasn't good. I guess that means it's intentional. I don't really understand this. They have good potato salad with the sour cream dressing. Pretty good BBQ sauce, and pulled pork. I never eat wings, but I couldn't stomach another one of their burgers the other day when my family member wanted nachos. So I tried their boneless garlic wings, and they were good but I really love garlic and they could have been more garlicky. If they can do pretty well with all this other stuff, why put so little thought into the burgers? It's a mystery. I had a burger down the street at the steakhouse today. Hawg City should go get some lessons. Anyway, get your beer and BBQ and take in a ball game, but skip the frozen burger patties at Hawg City.
